June 20 - Corpus Christi and a Picnic

This morning, Albert and I headed downtown to catch our last procession in Sevilla.  Lots of folks with candles and banners and 10 smallish pasos.

Then a military group.

Lots of people downtown, but nothing like Semana Santa.  Then home to prepare for tonight's picnic.  We had LOTS of food.  Luckily there are events over the next few days where we can continue to share some of the stuff that I made.

Long after the sun had gone and the nearby amusement park lit off their nightly fireworks, we continued chatting around the table by the light of a cell phone in  paper bag (very romantic, no?).

Starting tomorrow, the goodbyes begin in earnest - there is a professor who will be on vacation for next week and a student who only comes on Fridays..... these people have been so important in my day to day life this year it is hard to imagine that I may never see most of them again.
