Lots of groceries, a little cooking, some Spanish, reading a book, and a nap. That was my entire day until about 5pm.
In need of something new and different, we headed out to the movies. There is only one theater in Sevilla that plays movies in their original language (without dubbing). So our choices were limited. We settled on Incredibles 2.
I am not normally a big fan of cartoons, but the movie was cute and as a bonus it had Spanish subtitles - a little extra Spanish practice.
This evening, we went for a walk. Mario suggested in our welcome book which shop to try for the "best" pastry. We thought we might try it out tomorrow and decided to walk by to see if it had Sunday hours. It does, but not in August - the shop is closed for the month. We will try again in a couple of weeks (hard to believe it will be September in a couple of weeks).
For the past few days, we have been trying to decide which, if any, stages of the Vuelta de Espana bike race we will try to travel to see. It starts next weekend and runs for three weeks, sadly it does not get very close to Sevilla this year. Last year, stage 8 came through Sevilla and came within a mile of our current house - that would have been fun. This year, it means travelling - also fun. We saw a large group of local cyclist out this evening, I managed to catch a photo of the tail end of the group. Not exactly like watching the Vuelta - but nice to see folks out enjoying the beautiful evening.
