It is fun to watch the people heading into the fair. With today being a holiday, there were lots of families.
Of course, a big part of the day fair is the horse parade. There are horses (both with traditional riders and side saddlers) and horses pulling carts (with anywhere from one to six horses) that are used as transportation to get to the fair but also who then parade up and down the aisles of the fairgrounds so that the passengers can both see and be seen.
In the day fair, there are also LOTS of children. There are lots of candy trucks, games, rides, toy vendors,.... but most of the kids we saw were just hanging out with family and friends. It is like a big family reunion - with "costumes".
Tomorrow it is back to school. Of course, I am not sure what shape the teachers will be in after five straight days of fair, but I will be ready to go!
