On the way back to school, we passed a party store - clearly some people celebrate Halloween here. It will be interesting to see if there is any evidence in public places on Halloween night. According to my professor, there are usually parties in the primary schools.
While I was in class, Albert did a load of laundry and hung it to dry on our new indoor drying rack. Not surprising, all those wet clothes made the flat a little humid. After class, we walked to a small shop that sells a variety of household items and bought an inexpensive fan. Albert put it together and it works great.
Tomorrow night from 8pm until 2am on Saturday, there are cultural events (most of them free) all over the city. Some are outside in plazas, some are in museums and government buildings, and still others are in private businesses. With over a hundred to choose from, we will probably spend some time in the morning deciding what we want to try to see. We received a nice e-mail tonight from Palma with some suggestions and warnings (the crowds are usually really big especially at some of the more popular sites, some require reservations, ...) - she suggests trying to attend things that are outside.
